Extracurricular activities allow students to explore their interests,
develop skills, and engage with peers outside the traditional classroom setting.
The variety of clubs available often
reflects the diverse interests of the student body, ranging from academic pursuits to creative arts and sports. We wish to inform you that this year we will have two categories fo clubs. Paid and non paid ones. Below is a list of the clubs and the amounts to be paid to facilitate the professionals to come and assist in the clubs every Wednesday from 4 :00pm to 5 :00 pm starting from 2nd October 2024 .
NON PAID CLUBS
1. Chess and scrabble- Mr. Musanya and Mr. Bernard
Chess is a complicated game that requires strategy, careful thinking, and practice. By joining the chess club, students will have the opportunity to learn new strategies to beat your opponents and the opportunity to practice playing against other students, giving them a fun challenge. They may may even get to participate in chess tournaments.
2. Young Farmers club – Patrons Mr. Henry
The purpose of this club is to encourage students to learn how to grow different types of and crops and actively learn how to grow and take care of them.
3. Science club – Patrons Mr. Jean Paul, Mr. Kilonzo and Mrs. Tresa
The science club will provide incentive and inspiration for the pursuit of scientific knowleged in rigourous way by broadening their scientific outlook. Additionally , the student will develop a spirit and an attitude of healthy competetion for the individual .
4. Christian Union- Pastor . Olivier and Mrs. Sharon
Christian Union develops Christian leaders to transform culture for God’s glory. Christian Union reaches students with the Gospel and develops leaders at the most influential level.
PAID CLUBS
5. Traditional dancing and drumming-Patrons are Mrs. Pascaline , Ms. Esperance and
Mr. Longin
In this club students learn how to dance and learn the Burundian culture. The registration fees is 10 ,000 bif per Term. Maximum number of girls is 25 and boys 25
6. Debate and Drama – Patrons Mr. Sila and Mrs. Catherine
In Debate students are equipped with public speaking and learn how to hold informed arguments in public. Additionally, drama will be involved to ensure our students are engaged in learning how to play diffrent roles in a play.This is the best ground for students aspiring to be actors . The registration fees is 10 ,000 bif per Term.
7. Scouts club- Patrons Mr. Baptiste and Mr. Lionel
The club involves learning life skills and how to survive during adversities. Registration fees is 10,000 Bif Maxinum number of students 40.
8. Red cross club- Patrons Mr. Baptiste 2
Red cross empowers the students to acquire life saving skills to help and prepare a students incase of emergence at school or in the community. Registration fees is 10,000 Bif Maxinum number of students 40
9. Home science club – Patrons Mrs. Lilian and Mrs. Mutua
The students will learn cooking different dishes and get more knowlegable in household management. Registration fees is 10,000 Bif Maxinum number of students 40
10. Swimming club- Mr. Sicare
This club will enable the students to learn how to swim and the rest they will perfect their skills and participate in different competitions. The fees will be communicated once the students have registered in the club.
11. Media club – Mr. Celestine and Mr Olivier
For students who are interested in audio recording, reporting, directing, scriptwriting, video editing, graphic design or camera work, this club is very important to nurture their interest. It develops skills to encourage the production of creative media messages. Registration fees is 10,000 Bif Maxinum number of students 40
12. Art club- Mr. Samuel and Mrs. Gorky
Students will develop and enhance their awareness and understanding of the visual world, particularly the natural world and the world of the visual arts, through observational practices.
By strengthening their observational drawing skills and recognition of the complexities and continual rearrangement of design elements (i.e., line, shape, rhythm, color, space, volume, etc.), students will be better able to critically understand the visual structure of objects and scenes, particularly in works of art. 13. Music Club
